Dva Montellovy góly srazily Anglii
Angličtí fotbalisté utrpěli v přípravě na blížící se mistrovství světa bolestivou porážku. V Leedsu sice nad Italy vedli 1:0, ale soupeř jako by čekal na obdrženou branku, aby sám ukázal svou sílu. Montella záhy vyrovnal a v 90. minutě vsítil vítěznou branku z penalty. Italové přijedou v květnu do Prahy. Také další blízcí soupeři českého týmu se činili. Řekům, kteří výběr Karla Brücknera čekají v dubnu, se povedl proti Belgii skvělý obrat.
Litujeme, ale tato diskuse byla uzavřena a již do ní nelze vkládat nové příspěvky.

Nevím jak vy ostatní pánové a dámy, ale já když se na světový fotbal dívám objektivně a mám o něm přehled tak já mám za favority MS zase Francouze, protože jejich tým mi připadá nejlepší, nejkonstruktivnější, rychlý, vyspělý jak v taktice tak v rychlosti, jsou zde i jiné reprezentace silné (Itálie, Argentina, Brazílie, Kamerun, Anglie, .....), ale já osobně vidím jako největšího favorita Francii.

PARIS, March 27 (AFP) France looked every inch world champions as they thumped Scotland 5-0 at the Stade de France here on Wednesday to keep Berti Vogts' ambitious plans to transform Scottish fortunes in check. Apart from a brief scare from goalkeeper Fabien Barthez in the opening minute when his foot slipped off the ball near the goalline, Scotland never threatened the Manchester United goalkeeper as the hosts stomped their superiority all over Vogts' largely experimental side. France went 4-0 up before the break thanks to goals from Zinedine Zidane, two strikes from David Trezeguet and another from Thierry Henry, with substitute Steve Marlet adding a fifth near the final whistle. "It was an experience for the players," admitted Vogts. "In the first half, they were playing against a world class team, maybe the new world champions. "The pressure from the French team in the first period was too much for us." The 55-year-old former Germany manager chose to field many new faces for his first game in charge of the Scots after leaving his post as Kuwaiti national manager, but he appears to have a lot of searching still to do. Scotland's learning curve started in rude fashion in the 12th minute when defender Christian Dailly's backheader was picked up by Henry on the left wing. Henry's pass found Arsenal teammate Sylvain Wiltord on the by-line and his cross out towards the 18-yard line was met by a thumping volley from Zidane who left 'keeper Neil Sullivan with no chance. Sullivan would come under similar pressure at regular intervals over the next 30 minutes as France showed they are in superb shape just over two months before they kick off the defence of the World Cup in Seoul. France doubled their score after a long ball to Zidane, in deep on the left, was picked up by speedy Bayern Munich defender Bixente Lizarazu. His cross to David Trezeguet left the Juventus forward with a free header on Sullivan's goal. The Tottenham 'keeper was badly placed and Trezeguet's header sailed over him and into the net. Scotland, fielding a number of first-time caps, rallied, with midfielder and captain Paul Lambert getting the visitors' first real shot on goal but it sailed high and wide. Seconds later, as defender David Weir left the pitch for medical attention following a tussle with Henry, France upped the tempo, toying with the Scotland defence and threatening another goal. Their wishes came true in the 31st minute after Wiltord, sitting deep near the Scotland goalline, held off a challenge to cross for Henry. Although on his way back out of the area, Henry turned and struck the ball superbly into Sullivan's top left-hand corner. France's fourth goal, however showed why after four years as world champions they are still one of the favourites to retain the title. Some short passing down the right wing between Zidane and Wiltord left the Scotland midfield dazed and confused. The ball found its way to Trezeguet on the edge of the box and despite having close company he duped Sullivan again. After the interval France continued their mission as Vogts made a number of changes to his side. In the 49th minute Frank Leboeuf got a head to a freekick from the right wing but his effort went wide. Henry then had a shot on goal from a tight angle on 63 minutes but it was stopped by Sullivan and rebounded out. Youri Djorkaeff, only on the pitch seconds after replacing Zidane, was presented with a perfect shooting opportunity in front of goal in the 82nd minute but his shot from 20 metres sailed high over the bar. Fulham forward Marlet then fed off Djorkaeff, who held the ball up in the Scotland area before passing out to him, allowing Marlet to slam the ball high into the net.

Britské imperium ukazalo nekonkurenceschopnost
Squadra azzura slavně smetla hrdý Albion, dokonce se nechytli ani Skotové a od Francouzů dostali na frak. Severní Irové nebyli schopni vstřelit branku aještě se vztekle nechali vyloučit. Nebýt naší střelecké impotence doplnilo by britskou tragedii mužstvo Walesu..možná příště

no co reknu ti, co ja bych za to dal, kdyby byla nase reprezentace taky obcas tak na odpis jako Anglie....to by sme na mistrovstvi sveta asi nechybeli, ze?
