Herec, kterého proslavila role Rona Weasleyho ve filmech o Harrym Potterovi, si instagramový účet založil loni v listopadu. Jeho prvním příspěvkem byla fotka s dcerou.

2. David Attenborough
David Attenborough has spent a lifetime travelling, exploring the wild places of our planet and documenting the living world in all its variety and wonder. He’s also witnessed the damaged caused. Saving our planet is now a communications challenge. We know what to do, we just need the will.
That’s why we want to share this message on Instagram. Because there is hope and together, we can inspire change. Social media isn’t David’s usual habitat so while he’s recorded messages solely for Instagram, like the one in this post, we're helping to run this account. In case you’re wondering, ‘we’ are Jonnie and Colin and we worked with David on A Life On Our Planet. So, as well as sharing the messages he’s recorded especially for this account we’ll also post some exclusive clips and behind the scenes content.

Přírodovědec David Attenborough byl instagramovým rekordmanem pouze dva měsíce. Účet si založil loni v září a porazil ho právě Rupert Grint. Vědec dosáhl milion sledujících za jednu hodinu a 44 minut.
Sociální síť chtěl David Attenborough využít k šíření poselství o ochraně životního prostředí. Ve svém prvním videu umístěném na Instagramu vysvětlil, že tak činí proto, že „svět je v potížích“. „Kontinenty jsou v plamenech. Ledovce tají. Korálové útesy umírají... Seznam se stále rozšiřuje,“ varoval vědec a průvodce přírodopisnými filmy z produkce BBC.
Nicméně po dvou měsících, 27 příspěvcích a šesti milionech sledujících se rozhodl instagramový svět opustit.
The highly talented @conormcdphoto took many shots during the filming of A Life on Our Planet but this one is his favourite. Here’s his story.
I’ve been extremely lucky over the past three years to have travelled and worked with Sir David. We first met in the Maasai Mara as part of a @wwf_uk trip while he was filming pieces for ‘A Life on Our Planet’ with the incredible team from @silverback_films. I was allowed to see behind the scenes and photograph it all. After that I found myself in Davos, Washington DC and around the UK with him as he talked to politicians, world leaders and many more. Out of all my shots of Sir David I think this is my favourite. It was a moment where we were talking about the future of our planet with optimism and I really feel like I captured that positive emotion in David’s face. I hope that every individual who sees the film makes a difference in protecting the future of our planet.

Pět hodin a 16 minut trvalo herečce Jennifer Anistonové, než dosáhla milionu sledujících. V říjnu 2019 jako svůj první příspěvek zveřejnila selfie, jak jinak než s kolegy ze seriálu Přátelé.
„A teď jsme PŘÁTELÉ i na Instagramu,“ napsala Jennifer Anistonová v prvním příspěvku na sociální síti k fotografii z obývacího pokoje.
Nyní má herečka přes 36 milionů sledujících a přidala na svém profilu 47 příspěvků. Jedním z nich také oznámila, že se šestice herců z Přátel opět po letech potká před kamerou.

4. Princ Harry a vévodkyně Meghan

Po odchodu prince Harryho a vévodkyně Meghan z britské královské rodiny zůstal jejich instagramový účet neaktivní. Když ho však v dubnu 2019 založili, milionu sledujících dosáhli v čase pět hodin a 45 minut.
Vévoda a vévodkyně ze Sussexu na Instagramu, kde měli přes 10 milionů sledujících a zveřejnili 216 příspěvků, propagovali své aktivity a několikrát tam ukázali také svého syna Archieho.

Their son, Archie, was baptised wearing the handmade replica of the royal christening gown which has been worn by royal infants for the last 11 years. The original Royal Christening Robe, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, was commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841 and first worn by her eldest daughter. It was subsequently worn for generations of Royal christenings, including The Queen, her children and her grandchildren until 2004, when The Queen commissioned this handmade replica, in order for the fragile historic outfit to be preserved, and for the tradition to continue.

V březnu 2016 rekord trhl také papež František. Na svůj nově zřízený účet na internetové sociální síti dal svou první fotku v sobotu a už kolem půlnoci se počet lidí, kteří tam jeho profil sledují, dostal na milion. Trvalo to tedy 12 hodin. Papežův profil sleduje skoro osm milionů lidí a hlava katolické církve na něm zveřejnila přes tisíc příspěvků.
Nedávno Vatikán řešil kuriózní situaci. Na začátku října 2020 se na Instagramu objevila fotografie modelky Natalie Garibottové, na níž vyzývavě pózuje a je převlečená za sexy školačku, kterou pozitivně hodnotilo 118 tisíc lidí. Mezi nimi se objevil i „lajk“ papeže Františka, který na sociální síti vystupuje jako Fransicus.
Vatikán však popřel, že by papež František „olajkoval“ vyzývavou fotografii brazilské modelky a žádá o vysvětlení, proč se pod snímkem objevilo pozitivní hodnocení z oficiálního papežova účtu.
