Instead, whenever Americans do go anywhere, it tends to be by car.
Most Americans never will visit any single destination outside of their own country. Once again, less than 18% of all Americans even own passports. Obviously, without passports one is not going to travel around the globe.
You are an Ambassador
As a person who is unique, especially to most Americans, you are in a position to be somewhat of an "Ambassador" for your country.
This is a basic, human, universal dynamic.
For example, if an American visits Prague and gets mugged on the metro and his rental car also gets stolen, he’s not going to remember the Czech Republic very fondly, even though 99.99%+ of all Czechs had nothing to do with what happened to him, nor would they wish him any problems.
The point here is that when one is on travel, you are an extension in many ways of the country you represent.
Czechs are honorable people, and should always act honorably, especially when traveling abroad.
Being polite - revisited
There’s a reason we have taken the time to wade through all of this. Ambassadors are always polite. Being polite is always going to get a person much better results than being rude.
It’s also the right thing to do.
In tomorrow’s segment, we’ll cover issues like asking for directions and ordering from menus and explain what some of the key differences are.
. Jokes: Poems You NEVER Write to Czech WomenHere’s a love poem that you would never write to a Czech woman, unless you want to remain single. Please be my wife, To cook and clean For me all day And pray That I only eat Three meals, no way. For I am a man Who loves every Woman I can, Or rather the ones Who will let me, Because I always have to beg And spend lots of money On them, and even then This is only to talk. Now, if you actually want some interesting conversation, such as sports, forget it! |
