Instructions for English-speaking bidders
There are six separate auctions of soccer jersey by Karel Poborský at www.idnes.cz/dresy. Auctions take place on Thursday 12th of September 2019 from 9:00 AM (UTC + 2) and the proceedings will be donated to Tereza Maxová Foundation for orphaned children.
Step 1: Register
In order to participate in the auction you need to first sign up for the iDNES.cz account. To register, click on „Přihlásit“ in the upper right corner of any idnes.cz page (profile icon).
Sign in with your Facebook or Google account (“Přihlásit přes Facebook” or “Přihlásit přes Google”). Click the icon to give required permission and enable the login. The iDNES.cz registration page will then ask you to create an account (“Založit nový účet“). You are now registered and can participate in the auction.
Step 2: Auction

Write the offered amount (your bid) in the grey box labeled „Na kolik zvyšujete“ and confirm your bid by clicking on the button labeled „Přihodit“. When you first bid, you will be asked to enter your phone number. Ender your phone number in the international format. Our operator will call this number to verify your identity. Without this phone authentication, your bid will not be valid.
The auctions end in the following order: Alessandro Nesta at 3:00 PM (UTC+2), Patrick Vieira at 3:10 PM, Edgar Davids at 3:20 PM, Pavel Nedvěd at 3:40 PM, Roberto Carlos at 3:50 PM and Karel Poborský at 4:00 PM.
If a participant bids during the last three minutes before this limit expires, such auction will be automatically extended for another three minutes. This situation is repeated until the last highest bid has been unchallenged for three minutes. Only then is the auction finished and the winner declared.
The winner of the auction will be contacted by our editors with further instructions.
We remind the participants that all bidding is done in Czech Crowns (100 CZK is approximately 4.25 USD)
